Digital Humanites Presentation: Exploratory Analysis of Historic Documents Collection In-Person
Dr. Dieter Pfoser, Department of Geography and Geoinformation, presents his latest project with the Founders Online database and will describe his process for creating interactive maps and visualizations from correspondence collections. Founders Online includes correspondence and other writings of George Washington, Benjamin Franklin, John Adams (and family), Thomas Jefferson, Alexander Hamilton, and James Madison. Founders Online ( https://www.founders.archives.gov/) includes more than 178,000 searchable documents, fully annotated, from the authoritative Founding Fathers Papers projects of the National Archives.
