Information Session: These meetings generally take an hour; during this time, we can answer your questions and give you an in-depth view of the process you must complete in order to graduate.

Format Review:  We DO NOT schedule appointments for Format Reviews, and we DO NOT meet with you in person for them. Format Reviews are conducted entirely via email. DO NOT schedule an appointment for a Format Review; email your document to us at udts@gmu.edu when you are ready for the Format Review.

Submission Consultation: These meetings generally take 30 minutes; we recommend that you schedule the Submission Consultation after your Format Review is over and before your Defense takes place. When we meet for your Submission Consultation, we will discuss your options for Final Submission, give you the paperwork you will need to complete and turn in with the final copies of your thesis or dissertation, and answer any questions you have about the process.

Final Submission: At the Final Submission appointment, you will turn in the final version of your thesis or dissertation, plus all completed paperwork. At this appointment, we will process your materials, and then you'll be done--congratulations! These meetings are usually extremely brief, taking only 5 or 10 minutes each. If you need to schedule your Final Submission Appointment, and there are no available time slots in the Scheduler, please email us (udts@gmu.edu), and we will assist you in setting up an appointment for the Final Submission of your materials.
