MARS: Distributing and Preserving Your Work - GRADReCon In-Person

LOCATION: Fenwick Library, Instruction Room 1014B

While formal publication is often the primary goal for your scholarly efforts, institutional repositories provide a way for you to document, distribute, and preserve the work you complete on your way to your degree. MARS (the Mason Archival Repository Service), a free service from Mason University Libraries, is a platform to help you build and maintain your portfolio of scholarly work. From conference papers and posters to data sets, dissertations, theses, and digital projects, we will discuss how you can distribute and preserve different types of scholarly work using the Mason institutional repository. This brief workshop, led by Jeri Wieringa of Mason Publishing, will introduce MARS, provide an overview of the types of scholarly work and file formats we support, and show you how to start uploading content into MARS.

GRADReCon is a joint project of University Libraries, Graduate Student Life, and Learning Services.
