Intro to GIS and Mapping In-Person
Learn the basics of visualizing geographic information and creating your own maps in a GIS. It will include understanding geospatial data, concepts of GIS, finding mapping source data, various GIS software options, and how to work through exercises using ESRI ArcGIS (proprietary source). You will also learn how to read and interpret maps and data and use cartographic principles to create maps that can be used in presentations and publications.
