Have you come across an article or data on the Web that you would like to copy and paste into a text or a csv file? Is there an easy way to do this? This workshop covers exactly what you are looking for. It will cover the basics of Web Scraping, understanding the legal aspect of Web Scraping, coding programs to scarp data from the Web, and gain working knowledge and skills in using the Jupyter Notebook IDE. There will be a hands-on session (approximately 30-40 minutes) for the participants to do coding using the Python Beautiful Soup package.
Prerequisites: Some knowledge fo Python and HTML/CSS required.
A-Zoom link will be sent out to the registrants prior to the workshop along with the necessary information on the installation of Anaconda (version 3.x) on your computer.
